Learning Doesn't Stop When You Get to Progressive
While you're still in school, you'll have the opportunity to meet with Progressive representatives at career or interviewing days on campus or at club events.. After you decide to join the Progressive team, you'll be introduced to the systems and technological tools we use, participate in fun team-building exercises, and receive the industry knowledge you need to succeed at Progressive.
Since you'll be working with other recent grads, you'll have immediate companions, even if you relocate. Progressive will help you find an apartment, assist in your relocation and make sure you have everything you need for this next phase of your life.
What is IT University?
Progressive's IT University exists to support Information Technology in its learning needs. IT University develops instructor-led and online courses that have been identified as a need for the IT organization. IT University has a strong presence in both our Cleveland and Colorado Springs locations.
Web-based training is available for a large variety of courses ranging from technical to professional, providing a convenient way to complete courses — especially for our remote employees. Online courses are created both internally and through outside sources.
IT University Mission Statement
To align with corporate goals and to focus on the IT organization, IT University partners with Progressive employees to provide them with performance solutions that focus on individual job performance, work processes and organizational effectiveness.
The Four Schools of IT University
IT University courses are organized into four schools:
- Application Development
- Business
- Enterprise Technology
- Management
Each school has a senior dean and a group of associate deans to represent it and partner with the IT University internal team.
All IT employees are required to take the IT core courses and then, depending on job title, there may be additional core requirements within one of the specific schools. Examples of IT core courses include:
- Progressive Systems Data Overview
- Technology Infrastructure Overview
- Claims Fundamentals
Each school also offers many electives to IT University students.
